Charles J. Lanzalotti - Managing Attorney

The Membership of Bennett Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, recently elected Charles J. Lanzalotti as the firm’s fourth managing attorney.  Prior to that time, Charles literally held every job at Bennett Bricklin since he began his storied career. Charles, a Philadelphia native son, is a living testament of what you can achieve if you set your mind to something, treat people with respect and dignity along the way, and put in the necessary hard work.  His story is one of inspiration and a source of great pride for Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC.

Charles started working for Bennett Bricklin in 1988 as a mailroom clerk while he obtained his undergraduate degree from Temple University. Thereafter, he held various positions in the firm’s administration and paralegal departments, gaining invaluable knowledge along the way from some of the firm’s best legal minds.  Charles attended Widener Law School’s night program beginning in 1998.

Charles is currently co-chair of the firm’s Special Investigations team and continues to represent clients.  Over the years, Charles successfully tried numerous matters to verdict in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Charles also practices in New York state and federal courts, as well as the Federal District of Maryland.

The firm elected Charles as an Equity Member in 2009 and to the Executive Committee in 2016.  Charles also serves as the firm’s Enterprise Risk Manager handling all risks, including cybersecurity.  Charles and the Executive Committee implemented modern cybersecurity systems in order to protect the data of the firm’s clients and work-from-home alternatives while navigating the firm through the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences helped Charles develop a skill set which should be conducive to managing the firm into the future.

Unbeknownst to Charles, while working in his various roles since his start at Bennett Bricklin, he was being shaped by some critical life principles: if you get to know people, make them feel valued and a part of something, they in turn will give you the very best they have to offer.   These are core principles that will continue to guide Charles as he supervises all of the firm’s offices and continues to lead the firm in its growth.  Understanding that we are all chartering new waters brought on by the pandemic, Charles has been uniquely prepared for this journey, and we are excited and encouraged by his leadership.
