Dana Szilier has been practicing law since 2003. Over that time, she has been involved in a wide range of civil litigation including product liability, premises liability, mass and toxic torts, consumer fraud and motor vehicle liability. Dana has handled arbitrations, bench trials, and administrative hearings. She has also successfully argued before appellate courts.

For five years, Dana served on the Philadelphia Bar Association Committee on Professional Guidance, which provides confidential ethics advice to lawyers. She authored several opinions for the Committee. In addition, Dana assists the ethics partner for Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC.

Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Dana represented plaintiffs asserting claims of sex and race discrimination in employment pursuant to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and Title VII, disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Additionally, her clients asserted claims involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as the Pennsylvania Wage and Salary Act. Dana handled these cases from the administrative process at the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations and EEOC through settlement or pre-trial preparation at both state and federal court levels.

A native Chicagoan, Dana received her Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago Kent College of Law in May 2003. During law school, she worked as a law clerk/paralegal at a civil defense litigation firm in Chicago which represented railroads, trucking companies and motels, primarily in personal injury cases. After graduating from law school, Dana relocated to Philadelphia. Dana has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature degree from Beloit College.

Dana is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including admission to federal district courts in both states. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Dana is actively involved with the Surrey Lake Estates Neighborhood Association where she has served on its board of directors since 2006.
