A founding partner of Wagman, Kreider & Wright, Michael is a native of eastern Pennsylvania, having lived in York County through age 18. He received his B.S. in insurance and real estate from Penn State University in 1971. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he attended Temple University School of Law, graduating in 1978. Following two years as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, he moved to Lancaster in 1980. He joined West, Georgelis & Chesters as an associate, and in 1983 he formed Wagman and Ashworth.
In the 25 years of his practice, Mike has tried cases in nearly all of the state and federal courts of central and eastern Pennsylvania, as well as by pro hac vice admission to federal courts in New Jersey and Delaware and before the Supreme Court of Delaware. With his practice concentrated on insurance, coverage disputes and personal injury, he has represented clients ranging from invdividuals to insurance carriers in multi-national corporations.
A certified mediator/arbitrator, he frequently is selected to chair all forms of ADR proceedings.
Mike is active on many bar committees and is a member of the Lancaster Rotary and the American Legion. In his spare time, he is an avid runner and weight lifter, who also enjoys spending time with his wife Jeanne at their beach residence.
