Dana Szilier has focused her practice on employment discrimination issues. Initially, she represented plaintiffs in asserting claims of sex and race discrimination in employment pursuant to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and Title VII, disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Dana handled these cases from the administrative process at the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations and EEOC through settlement or pre-trial preparation at both state and federal court levels.
Having gained experience as a plaintiff’s attorney, she joined Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLP in 2005. Here, her practice has expanded to include product liability and commercial litigation.
Dana received her juris doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago Kent College of Law in May 2003. During law school she worked as a law clerk/paralegal at a civil defense litigation firm in Chicago which represented railroads, trucking companies, and motels, primarily in personal injury cases. She is a graduate of Beloit College.
Dana is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including admission to federal district courts in both states. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
